She says, "Art opens a window into my mind, allowing pieces of my subconscious to escape onto the canvas, paper or whatever substrate I'm using to capture the elusive bits. It's the ordinary, utilitarian elements of life that inspire and challenge me to present them in a new and, hopefully, exciting way. If my art engages the viewer in a satisfying dialogue, I consider it a success”

Born in New Jersey, USA, Lloyd graduated from Kean University of New Jersey with a Fine Arts degree. A former art teacher and album cover designer, she now lives in Danbury, Connecticut and became a full-time artist sometime ago. Her artwork is currently being exhibited in the Upstream People Gallery, the American Juried Art Salon, and the Artist's Haven Gallery. She has just received a Special Recognition for two of her artworks in the Upstream People Gallery Juried Competition and her body of work was recently recognized by Mosaic Globe with a cash award.
